Founded in 2017, Ven Studio LLC builds upon over 30 years of combined experience in Architectural Design. Our team of five comes from a diverse set of backgrounds, specialties, and interests to create a well-rounded company that is dedicated to making a difference through the built environment. We are passionate about using our skillsets to strengthen communities, protect the planet, beautify our surroundings, elicit joy, and encourage health, equity, and accessibility for all.

Justin Cullen
RA, NCARB, LEED Green Associate Design Principal, Co-Founder
Justin has almost 15 years in the architectural industry and has extensive experience leading the design, documentation, and construction administration processes of Single-Family and Multi-Family Residential, Commercial, Mixed-used, and Cultural projects throughout his career. His expertise includes new construction, renovations, additions, and tenant in-place. Detail-oriented by nature, Justin appreciates diving into the specifics on each project and tackling the challenges associated with the science of building construction. He prefers to work closely with the builders as a collaborative effort to bring the space to fruition.
Justin has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Fairmont State University (2010) and a Master of Architecture from University of Maryland, College Park (2012). He is a licensed architect in Maryland, Washington DC, West Virginia, and North Carolina. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, beekeeping, working out, spending time with his energetic dogs and cats, travel, and the outdoors.
Kiley Wilfong Cullen
RA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C
Design Principal, Co-Founder
Kiley has over 15 years in the architectural design and construction industries. She has worked on Residential, Commercial, Mixed-used, and Cultural projects during her career. A master-planner at heart, Kiley recognizes the importance of big-picture strategies that structure how the detail work will proceed. She works closely with the clients to understand their needs and inspiration. She also has experience in Virtual Design and Construction at a large national general contractor, including rendering, animations, mixed reality, and site logistics, reality capture, and 4D/5D BIM processes.
Kiley has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Fairmont State University (2010) and a Master of Architecture from University of Maryland, College Park (2012). She is a licensed architect in West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio and holds LEED AP BD+C credentials. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, beekeeping, hiking, reading, cooking/baking, and spending time with her energetic cats and dogs.
Insha Sheikh
Insha Sheikh, LEED GA
Design Staff
Insha got her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Maryland and is pursuing a Master’s in Architecture and Urban Planning, graduating May 2026. She has obtained her LEED Green Associate certificate and is in the process of obtaining her architecture license. Sheikh is a nimble team player, a proactive learner and has 1.5+ years of experience working in D.C, Virginia and Maryland. She has had experience working on numerous scales in building design including single-family and mixed-use residential, commercial, landscape, interior design and is also interested in large-scale urban design projects. She brings forth exemplary understanding of building and construction as well as a diverse set of presentation and technical skills. Outside of architecture, she enjoys traveling, baking and spending time with friends and family.
Nusheen Majidi
Project Coordinator
Nusheen has 3 years of experience in the industry. She holds a Master of Architecture, Master of Real Estate Development, Graduate Certificate in Urban Design, and Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She is especially interested in adaptive reuse projects, large-scale urban design, and all scales of residential design. More broadly, she is interested in how the built environment can influence individual, societal, and environmental health.
Outside of architecture, Nusheen enjoys fitness, traveling, eating lots of food, spending time with friends & family, and spoiling her dog, Jarvis.
Ian Rosario
Project Coordinator
Ian graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Ian has been with the Ven team for over 3 years and has worked on projects of all scales. He loves helping the client visualize their project through 3D modeling and rendering. His favorite part of the job is that he gets to help people live in more functional and usable spaces. He also has a professional working fluency in Spanish.
Outside of architecture, Ian enjoys watching and playing sports, eating his wife's homecooked meals, and learning guitar.
Ayanna Phillips
Marketing & Administrative Assistant
Ayanna Phillips is a Towson University graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Design. Over the past three years, she has gained extensive experience in administrative roles, further enriching her academic foundation with practical expertise. Ayanna is deeply passionate about design, with a particular interest in interior design, and is committed to continually expanding her knowledge of emerging trends within the industry. Her dedication to professional growth reflects her enthusiasm for lifelong learning. Outside of her career, Ayanna channels her creativity through crocheting, crafting intricate and beautiful pieces. She also values spending quality time with her family and pets, balancing her professional and personal pursuits.

The name for Ven Studio LLC comes from the idea of synergy: the marriage between different elements of design and construction, and the harmony that comes from well-balanced design. We emulate this idea of synergy in every aspect of our business: we design at the intersection of function and beauty, work at the junction of precision and efficiency, and collaborate at the midpoint of complexity and clarity.
Our goal as a firm is to reflect and encourage intangible ideals through the tangible built environment. On a smaller scale, we design our spaces to elicit comfort, joy, balance, and tranquility. On the larger scale, we seek to promote equity, health, happiness, and community. We offer services for both residential and commercial spaces to have the opportunity to serve the community at all levels.

Ven Studio LLC is based in College Park, MD, and is currently registered in Maryland, Virginia, DC, West Virginia, Ohio, and North Carolina. We have extensive experience working in the DMV area, but we maintain active NCARB certificates so that we have the potential to work in other states as well.
