Invisible Ground is a multimedia project utilizing audio, augmented reality, visual elements, and place-based storytelling to engage people in the history of their communities. The project was created, and produced by, Brian Koscho. Starting as a podcast in late 2020, Invisible Ground focused on telling the stories of southeast Ohio communities and the people, places, and events to connect to bigger themes in our region and far beyond.

Two Immersive Historic Markers are up at the former location of The Berry Hotel and the current Mount Zion Baptist Church, both in Athens, Ohio, where visitors can see historical photos through their smartphone device on the current day view of their camera using the Invisible Ground app.

The Albany Enterprise Academy for which this 3D model was developed is a future location for a marker and podcast sometime in late Spring 2023, and is the location of an important Black educational institution from the 19th century.
